Aquasky 'Superbad' ft. Ragga Twins, Pedro Slimer, M-TEK & Mr. Thing

Description

'Superbad' out now: http://aquasky.co.uk/Aquasky-Raise-The-Devil-Album-Release3.html This is our first ever proper video!!! 16 years we have waited for this moment. Shot during October 2011. The track is released as part of our 'Raise The Devil' album on Passenger Records released 11.11.11. The whole vibe of 'Superbad' is to try and do a modern take of that 89/90 UK hip hop vibe. That classic era of British rap! Featuring our longtime collaborators The Ragga Twins and members of their RTC crew M-Tek and Pedro Slimer. Also featuring another past collaber with Aquasky, Mr. Thing. Former World DMC champion. The video is shot by an old bboy friend of Brent's from Bournemouth, Charlie Marbles. Charlie use to rock the mic in the early 90's and then set up the breakin crew Born To Rock with Spencer (another Bournemouth boy). Since the Charlie has emerged himself in the film industry working on James Bond films among others and is presently putting the finishing touches to his doucmentry on the UK breakin legends Second To None (also from Bournemouth!). That film is called BBoy Mercenaries and will be out later this year. Huge thanks to DJ Hudge for letting us shoot at his night 'The Boom Bap' at the Hoxton Pony. To everyone who came down to the night and of course the breakers who brought the sparkle to proceedings. The bboys and bgirls: Zia - Born to Rock Ice Kid Dee - Second to None Soopa Jay - Scarecrows / Bones to the stones Leebee BGal - Bones to the stones Dizzy - Motion Disorderz Multi-tasking film-maker Charlie Marbles says: "I just wanted to capture the energy that I felt when I first heard the tune as well as tip my hat to the JB sample by putting in some bboying, popping and rocking. I wanted it to have a raw, documentary vibe and leave the night to play out as if they had just come in and grabbed the mic at some underground party somewhere." Shot by Tommy Hardrocks and Charlie Marbles. Conceived, Produced, Directed & Edited by Charlie Marbles. vimeo.com/rawangles http://www.djhudge.com
